1.5 inch risers work with the stock cables and for me brought the bars up and back enough to make the ride comfortable

Me too. Got them off ebay for around $40 if I remember correctly. 10 minute install. I'm 5'5" and it helped a lot. Search breakout riser spacers on ebay and you'll find them. Come in 1.5 and 2.0"

Hey can you tell me what risers you are using with those bars? I just got my BO and the drag bars are not going to work for me. But apes on the stock risers would look horrible IMO. I've searched some threads with people complaining about not being able to find risers that work with the speedo mount, but they were old threads. Can someone tell me if there is something available now that work?

Thanks!!

Thanks for the response FJ!
I was actually looking for shorter risers. I want to put apes on but I don't want the tall risers as I think they look funny with apes.

Consider the 10 degree riser bushings that are available through Dennis Kirk. You may well find ways to use them that will help solve your problem.

In order to gain riding comfort while reducing the visual impact of apes, I installed 14" apes on short CVO risers and did a 3" tank lift using a DK Custom kit (see my Avatar). To accomplish this, I mounted the risers on 10 degree bushings, angled forward, so the speedo housing clears my tank.

I'm not necessarily suggesting you go through all that, (you'd need new cables too and the exercise is quite expensive), but do consider those 10 degree bushings (85 bux or so) as you think through your solutions.

Been awhile since I posted pics, (except for above ). Here goes:

A 250 rear tire, Lollipop baffles, chromed Blackline dash, 3" tank lift, heel-toe shifter and a swapped out tank badge are some of the mods you can see. A 204 cam (and SE Supertune) are mods you can't see. FWIW I'm running Red Line products in all 3 holes through a PurePower permanent 22 micron (Absolute) filter. Thats about it, thanx for watching .

Thanks for the info HK! Now can you tell me where I can buy a set of the CVO risers? I can't seem to find them from Harley?

Thanks again for the help!

These are the bushings for sure:

https://www.denniskirk.com/la-choppe...prd/598833.sku

My risers were installed by my dealer who also supplied the bars and cables. Something like this may work but you'd have to E-mail Dennis Kirk for measurements to see if the lower sections of the risers would be compatible with the BO top section.

https://www.denniskirk.com/drag-spec...prd/597171.sku

To clarify, I had the dealer install the 1 1/2" apes with cables and CVO risers and then I installed the bushings later to accommodate speedo / tank clearance with the 3" tank lift.
