Say... just wondering... since the 2016's are coming with the larger 50mm TB / injectors, I wonder if it will direct fit earlier BO's with the 48's?

New 50mm Throttle Body is electronic throttle. Not sure if 2013-15 models have 48mm or 46mm.
Anyway the problem can be easily bypassed with the SE 50mm Throttle Body p.n. 27623-05A which has upgraded 4.9grams/second injectors.
Installed this TB on my 2014 BO with SE Pro CNC Ported Heads and after a good dyno the results are impressive, without need of altering stock compression.

Thanks - yeh stock 12-15 TB is 46mm, that was a mistake on my part. I figured it just couldn't be that easy - heh.

That's really the main issue- it seems to require installing new heads in order to be able to use the SE larger TB kit, due to the larger runner ports. either that or having the stock heads machined. Not that it is a bad thing, though

what did you do for tuning afterwards - powervision / dyno?

Had dyno after the install and bike runs really very well.
Regarding the SE 50mm TB I had same concerns on fitting with stock heads due to the criptic description of required flanges on the catalog. Problem solved when I decided to install SE CNC ported heads.
A curiosity that might be interesting. When I bought the 50mm TB I also ordered the new AC Kit for 50mm TB guessing it was reasonable. Discovered that the SE AC kit for 50mm TB (electronic one) wasn't fitting but my previous AC fitted perfectly. So if anybody wishes to install the SE 50mm TB, doesn't need to change the current AC. I've already been the Guinea Pig...
Performance enhancement delivered buy the cams/heads/TB upgrade is extremely satisfying for me also considering that my current exhaust (V&H Big Shots Staggered) is a little "bottleneck" limiting to optimize the result to the maximum. Dyno (very conservative setup and default settings) scored over 99hp and over 145NM (107lb/ft) torque.

yeh I had heard the stock AC will fit so thanks for re-confirming. really odd the 50mm-specific AC does not. oh well that's what happens when mix / matching custom parts, typical eh? ;p

so hey have you done the drive pulley upgrade? (larger rear pulley / smaller front pulley)- that by itself is huge.

Probably the issue on 50mm AC fitting is due to the difference of the SE 50mm and the new electronic 50mm, the part where the AC bracket is bolted on the TB is different. Would have been much easier if MoCo had written on catalog "electronic throttle only".
Not tried the drive pulley upgrade even though I read about it with interest. Honestly dunno if I'll pull the trigger on that for two main reasons. First is that now bike runs as I wish so would prefer not touch any other mechanical part, already spent last months trying to solve problems and issues arised from last install session. Second reason is that here local dealers aren't as skilled as yours and you spend too much time trying to fix issues they create.

sure, makes sense- always pays to be careful. think harder about this upgrade, it is actually not difficult and will make the engine upgrade parts you bought work even better. Who wouldn't like a relatively inexpensive 10% increase in TQ, without losing mpg?
You could do the rear pulley upgrade yourself - super simple DIY. this would give you a roughly 3% increase. use the stock belt. the inner primary needs to be removed for the front pulley upgrade. this is not a difficult process, it is just time consuming. we're only talking outer / inner primary R&R.

anyway, I recently posted consolidated parts data here: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...l#post14548150

As far a "butt dyno" goes, it sort of feels like the difference between taking off from the line (or rolling on throttle) solo vs 2-up. the gain is more than noticeable.

It's a smart and interesting mod for sure.
Unfortunately I'm not so tech skilled plus have really little spare time for DIY mods.
Install and recalibration of the parts would be done by someone who knows what he's doing and not so many around here. Plus should find rear pulley in chrome or have one chromed to match the bike. Will seriously consider anyway...

Well you've done an exceptional job on your BO- came out very nice! yes you'd have to have a shop strip and chrome the sportster pulley, I think that is the only way it comes, in the black wrinkle coat finish. might as well chrome the five sportster pulley bolt heads too, or get chrome bolt caps.
