Looking at the auction prices of BOs has me worried(8-11k). They didn't seem to hold their value too well. I didn't buy it for an investment but if the option came around to sell it for a reasonable price I would've taken it.
So I just got my Metzeler 260 delivered, should have it on in a few days, but as always, thinking of future mods...I think cams are near the top of the list. I'd really appreciate any advice from anyone who has upgraded their Breakout. I'd like to know what cams you used? why that particular model? and how's the performance? I don't want anything too radical just that next bump in performance. I have Ness a/c, V&H Big Radius 2 into 2 and a FP3. I also consider myself pretty good with a wrench, other than tire mounting and powder coating, I've never paid anyone to work on my bikes, done my own mods, but have never been "inside" the motor. I'd like to know what's involved, do I need to change the bearings? and if so how hard is that? I would like to do it myself if possible, but have no problem having local indy do it if not. If you had the work done how much was the labor? Thanks in advance to anyone with info that helps me decide which way to go!!

Me and EagleRay installed SE-204.
Both extremely satisfied of the result.
Strong low middle tq with top hp at 5800rpms, bolt on cams.
EagleRay scored about 90hp/152tq which is a damn good result.
My BO is now on dyno having installed ported heads and throttle body...

I have the SE 204 in mine also. I don't have access to a Dyno for an analysis but no matter, the difference over stock is obvious. IMHO the 204 is a great choice for this bike.

Thanks,
Did either of you do the install? If not how many hours of labor were you charged?

Nope, neither me nor EagleRay did the work. Sorry if I answer on behalf of EagleRay too but he's abroad at the moment and since we decided many mods together I guess he won't mind.
I was charged about 8 hours included SE pushrods and SE high volume oil pump install.
P.S.: Btw also the sound of BO benefited a lot of 204 cams...
