Even if it is a tight fit to put the axle back through the slots with the 70t that is ok, you will still be able to adjust to proper belt tension and wheel alignment. See the sticky DIY gear ratio thread at top of this softail forum for more info, pics etc.

It's very spongy at best.

Hell, I ran the ride height all the way to the top last time we rode together jut to keep it off the hard stops. No rebound at all.

Not to be nosey, but when you ride 2up, how much is the total weight? Between the OL and I it's over 400lbs.
Just an update. There is no way to modify the compressor to output 300psi. But, I was able to hook up a high pressure air tank to the shock assembly. I set the regulator to 300psi, set the ride height, put the compressor back on to the shocks and set my rebound. Rode with my wife and a crap-ton of luggage for the weekend and the bike rode exactly how I wanted. Gonna try to rig up a non-abs compressor. 300psi did the trick!

^^ Thanks for the update, glad your creative solution did the trick. if you are able to post some pics of your modification and air tank hook up, i'm sure it would benefit others.

Someone should discuss this with JD. If the 200psi compressor happens to be the final "works as designed" solution for ABS equipped bikes this might be a show stopper for all wanting to install SS to make also 2-up riding more comfy

Maybe we open a separate thread on this to have more people chiming in...

I love my Legend Air Ride!! Not sure about psi?? but it works great!! from slammed to maxed out in under 15 seconds with handle bar controls and the ride is excellent...might be an option to consider if looking at "air-ride"..

Yep...have been considering this as well. The handle bar switches are a great advantage, IMHO. Plus, living in Germany the Legend Air Ride is officially available here and it is street legal (certified) while SS are not. And German technical authorities are a real PITA when it comes to modifying your scoot with parts other than OEM

Got my Breakout back from my indie shop guy. Did cams, air cleaner, pipes, tune, and the 30T primary (I think that's what he started with, he ordered everything). Waiting on seat (damnit Le Pera, hurry up) and bars.

List of what I'd like:

LED Headlight, preferably 7" somehow, not the Daymaker
LED Turn signals
Foot pegs that don't scrape as much
Fuel gauge
Maybe Shotgun shocks, I don't find the stock very bad so far though
Maybe new mirrors depending on how they look on the new bars
Heated gloves or heated grips, can't decide

Any advice would be appreciated

I have a 70ci 4500psi tank with an adjustable low pressure regulator that I use for paintball. It has a push to connect macroline set up with an on-off valve already. I'm still in Natchez for the weekend but I'll put some pics up when I get back. As soon as I found out that the ABS models didn't produce over 200psi, I knew I was going to put that tank on it to stiffen the ride. Just wish I could modify the compressor so I don't have to hook that tank up for riding 2-up. And I don't want to adjust anything while I don't have access to a tank to set it back for the ride home.

I take it that someone has determined that this air suspension system can take the 300 psi without any seals, etc being overloaded?
