I take it that someone has determined that this air suspension system can take the 300 psi without any seals, etc being overloaded?
Jim G
Yes, the non-ABS model bikes are able to fit a 300psi compressor. ABS models have to fit the compressor in a different spot because the ABS unit is placed in the area where the compressor normally goes.

...yet another reason to rip that ABS clutter off my bike next winter
New shotgunshock design available soon for abs softails
[QUOTE=EagleRay;14884871]Someone should discuss this with JD. If the 200psi compressor happens to be the final "works as designed" solution for ABS equipped bikes this might be a show stopper for all wanting to install SS to make also 2-up riding more comfy
Maybe we open a separate thread on this to have more people chiming in...[/QUOTE
Thanks for the constructive criticism. Since the abs module is in location of shotgunshock 300 psi compressor, the only option was using the smaller bodied 200 psi compressor. On a breakout the smaller compressor has been inconsistent in firming up the suspension. We have redesigned the internal manifold and the result is that the 200 psi pump will firm up suspension as well as a 300 psi pump. The bodies are being machined now with the new manifold design and should be ready to ship in 3 weeks. Thanks for you patience and support, JD
That's good to hear j.d. I will be buying air ride here in the next month or two and really wanting the shotgun shock. Glad you got the kinks worked out for the abs equipped breakouts. So will all the shocks for the abs models from here on out be with the updated compressor? Or will it be from the 3 weeks from now? I guess when it comes time that I purchase mine, I want to be sure it is the new and improved kit.

All the the shotgun shocks shipped in three weeks will have the upgraded manifold design for abs equipped softails. Thanks for your interest in shotgunshock and you will be impressed with ride quality.

All I have to say is there is a honest manufacturer that saw a need to improve his product, admits it, and does something about it. And to boot it is good old USA. I to will be buying a shotgun shock setup in the near future for my Breakout. Well done JD.

JD, thanks for your instant response but even more for this example of 1st class customer service. This proves again you really care for your customer's concerns.
Happy to hear that the issue has been analyzed and will be taken care of. Might make me buy a unit towards the end of this riding season.
What about the units that have already been delivered with the 200psi compressor?
