I'm totally new here and trying to figure out how things work here. So feel free to yell at me if I'm doing it wrong.
Here is my issue. I ordered 23" DNA Mammoth spoke front wheel for my 2016 BO non-CVO. When I placed the order I gave them all of the make/model details to include ABS bearings F/R. I just got both wheels and tires back from the local custom shop for mount and internal balance. Removed the stock front last night and replaced with new 23" spoke wheel. All stock spacers and such went back on and in order of course. Still, I noticed the wheel is offset towards the clutch handle side of the bike, like, a lot. About 3/4" difference. The rotor and caliper aligned perfectly. The only thing I can think of is that maybe DNA used the incorrect offset on the hub. Now I've read about other bike models that have some offset, but I haven't seen anywhere that someone had this much offset. Furthermore, the caliper body is less than 1/8" gap from the wheel spokes. That's just makes men nervous as all gets.
So other than waiting until Monday for DNA to open, does anyone have some input or recommendations?
Thanks in advance
First off, welcome!! Not sure exactly what your asking... but, yes the BOs front wheel is offset, but if you measure the spacers, the difference is only about 3/8"....and if you don't like the lack of clearance between your new wheels spokes and the caliper, and don't want to change to a different style wheel, you might look into an after market caliper that's shaped a little differently and allows more clearance, but I wouldn't think it needs it, no reason why the 1/8" gap should change.....Hope this helps.
Finally picked up my breakout last night and rode that pretty girl home hard.
bone stock now, but spending the day on some minor upgrades.
got a swing arm bag, some new pegs to go on, gonna drop my mirrors under the bars, Pull reflectors.
Ordered an AC for it, should be here on friday.
I can't afford new exhaust yet, so I tore out my baffles and used the DK Thunder Torque inserts and it is night and day better; Loud but not obnoxious, No loss of power!!! A little better throttle response (without a retune).
Took about 2 hours to install, hardest part was pulling the stock slip ons off (use lube, like wd40 and wiggle those bitches)
Getting the baffles out & install took < 15 mins.
Anyone rocking stock exhaust that hates the blender sound, don't be afraid to give these things a try- I was skeptical, but for $30 bucks I said F it. Beyond worth it. http://www.dkcustomproducts.com/Thun...DK-TTI-258.htm
They are beautiful bikes. Be sure to save ALL the stock parts. I believe it will be worth more when you (if ever, haha) go to sell it.
