The bag is definitely Kuryakyn. I recognize the shape of the logo shield on it.

But, like a prior poster, I am far more interested in the quick detach rack! Anyone know where you get it?

Besides being uick and eays to deploy, and not requirig any mods to the bike, the rack puts the bag where you can see it so don't worry about "is it still back there", plus the bag provides some wind and rain protection when you might want or need some.

The weight of the bag would need to be controlled, as it will increase the force required to steer, but then a bag on the rear makes the "tail wag the dog", so it's pick your poison . . .

I've bungeed a 3 day pack to the bars a few times. The bike handles fine, but you have to be careful about how you strap it down - it's easy to knock the headlight out of whack. The rack solves that problem.

Anyway - after searching around like an idiot tonight, I think the dude made that rack. It looks like he used a set of windshield clamps like these:

http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...ndshield-clamp

I'm heading to the dealer tomorrow to get a set, then over to Home Depot.

I think I'll send whatever I slap together to the chromer though.

Aluminum side plates with steel tie-down bars sounds good to me.

You might want to double check the fitment of those clamps for the Breakout. I was looking for one of those to use as security since its of the locking variety for my quick release windshield. Thing is they don't offer it from what I could see in the online catalogue, the one you linked says it fits Sportsters. I am pretty sure but it is the diameter of the fork tubes are not the same, Breakout having 49mm tubes, that clamp will not fit. Plus 4 of them at about $45 each....

Default Headlight housing

I recently purchased a sunpie 5.75 led headlight but need to find a bigger headlight bucket to fit the plug inside on my 14 breakout. Can anyone tell me which housing and where to find one please? Thank you

The Harley version of the LED headlight fits the stock Breakout headlight bucket just fine.

Not once you factor in the cost of the different bucket needed for the other brand!

And, I can give a testimonial for the HD version. It really works well. It is so bright that my friend told me that when I was riding towards him, it was blinding to look at.

I guess I didn't really figure a headlight bucket would cost 300 dollars

The LIST price on a genuie HD Daymaker is $400. So, you are implying that your substitute headlight cost you $100. If it really cost you $100, there is NO way that it is even remotely comparable to a Daymaker.

There are, in some products, lower priced bargains, but no good LED headlight costs $100. You do get what you pay for.

Me, I would rather just pay for the good headlight, istead of pay for a crappy headlight and a replacement bucket necessitated by that crappy headlight, but that's just me.
