I recently replaced both F&R, and I went with HD. Mainly because I needed them sooner rather than later, and I've been told that some of the aftermarket pads squeak...and I definitely didn't want that.
I'm interested in installing one but I'm unsure about fitment, would one designed for the Wide Glide 49mm front forks fit ?
Thanx
im just about to install one from superbrace along with race tech front spring kit & emulators...the superbrace is very well constructed...superbrace makes a specific brace for breakout

Just ordered a Superbrace this afternoon. From their video, it seems like a rugged unit and in any case its apparently the only option for now.
You'll appreciate the internal upgrade bro. I've got the RaceTechs and Ricors. Reason I'm getting the brace is that I've also installed 2" fork extensions and want to stabilize the extra fork length.
Hey! I just joined and wanted to make my very first post to thank many of you for the tips, ideas, inspiration and how-to's that I have gotten from this thread specifically. Took delivery of this June 4, but I'm in FL...and if you have noticed it has rained almost to Noah levels here since June 1, so not many miles logged yet.
Since delivery I've done quite a few things--[EDIT] some shown in the second pic below--but still have much fun ahead of me tinkering and tweaking--thanks to the info I've gotten from you guys (& gals). Will post updated pics when it's back from getting lowered.

nice thanks..yea anything will be better than the crap thats inside of them now!
Currently putting a Breakout front end on my wife's Fatboy. I'm trying to keep it as cheap as possible and have come across one area of question. What is the stock fork tube length of the breakout? I've seen multiple people putting wide glide tubes in their breakouts and STREET BOBS to add an extra 2-2.5 inches. I know the street bob tubes are 49mm and 25.5 inches long, but are half the cost of the breakout tubes. If anyone could shine some light on the difference and/or the length of the breakout tubes would really help me finish up this project.
Here is mine blacked out Breakout, Finally was able to put it back together and ride again, lost 3 primary cover black bolt caps on my 1st ride lol , still want to powder coat wheels, and need to paint oil tank cap,
top trans cover was not done yet either but I think I will wait till winter to do more work, now is time to ride and enjoy
vj82, would love to know what mirrors and turn signals your running.
Any chance you still have the parts list? Also what did you do use to protect the tank if anything?
Thanks!
I assume you mean the blackline console:-) If not, disregard below, if so--mine just shipped from New Castle HD.
