but, you should buy 10 new self sealing screws and might as well replace the gasket while you have it off.

make sure you don't over torque those screws.
Did you empty the track before swapping?. Stupid question, but I've never disassembled my tank before.

No, you don't need to empty the fuel tank. IIRC, I ran mine down to about 1/2 before switching over to the Blackline parts. It was easy.

Just as Curt has stated. Replace the screws (I did as well). The top plate will come with a new gasket already attached. The only major difference in installing the CVO dash instead of the Blackline dash is going to be the dummy vent line that runs under the tank. There is another person on here who said he managed to do it without removing the tank.

Are the screws HD sells on the parts break-down the self-sealing type? I didn't order them, but will now that I see that as a suggestion.

The part number is 1311d. Just in case you need to compare

4" risers and a tank bib. Still need to hook up the dash lights.

Officially cut a remodeled backrest for my breakout. The pad is aftermarket, but the backrest frame is my own design. Works well to keep the butt in place on the stock seat. Just needs some powder coat.

Just pulled the trigger on the 124 hot set up kit from S&S. Also a s&s tc3 cam oil pump / support plate. 58 mm tb, and an oil cooler, and a primo Rivera pro clutch. Should make a nice package for the breakout!

For you guys running fork gaiters, are there any tricks to help keep them up? I have one side that stays where it's supposed to but for some reason the top of the other one keeps sliding down.
