The factory air cleaner on my 2020 BO 114 is considerably larger than the one I had on my old 2014 103ci BO. Would adding a Screamin Eagle Heavy Breather be of any benefit? Better to stay with the factory breather? I’ve added V&H Big Radius 2-2 and SE Pro Street tuner.
Howdy
Anyone know best way to perform a gas tank lift of a 2015 breakout??
The odometer seems to be in the way lol
I’m almost 99.6 percent sure I’ll need to replace the original pull back risers..
But I’m .4 percent uncertain lol
and has anyone mounted a Metzeler 260 cruisetec on a breakout without any enhancements??

Here is one way you can do it. I used a set of risers from a FXDLS and contoured them to fit the Breakout Clamp/Gauge Cup. Gives a 5" rise with about the same pull
back as the Breakout risers but gives the appearance of being straight. Going to list them for sale because I went with short risers and a Night Rod Headlight conversion.
The bars in the picture are the FXDLS bars. They are just a touch narrower and have a little more pull back than the Breakout bars.

Are you running rear air suspension? I like the stance of your bike, but wondering how well you like the ride.
Hey bud, I just saw this - didn't get a notification from the forum.
Anyhow, yeah, I have a Shotgun Shock kit on my bike. Works pretty good - leaks down a little after a few days of being parked...****in' rain...
It rides fine, no complaints.
But I do want to switch to a swingarm mounted rear fender. That'll put the fender down tight on the tire. Then I can switch back to a regular shock. I haven't been able to find a fender that I like though. I want one with a ducktail - similar to the factory fender. No dice so far.
Anyway, that's the plan.... gotta figure out a good solution for the seat too.

I did a 3" lift on my 2014 by replacing the stock risers with the stubby CVO risers mounted on 10 degree forward angled bushings. I also have apes. You may encounter tank clearance issues with this method if you have stock bars. A distinct benefit of doing it this way is that the speedo housing remains right in front of the tank gap created by the lift, obscuring it rather nicely.
Decided to go with Thunderbike treatment on my bike (2013 Breakout with 927 miles). Yes, I had her for 7 years but never home to ride. Chopped off the stock fender ears. New fender is being painted. Can anyone suggest how to remove the triple trees for powder coating?
Stock fenders are also for sale.
My "fender ears" just unbolt with 2 bolts on each side. But mines an '18. As a matter of fact, I had the entire thing off just to install a bitchbar last night.

The way the rear fenders bolt on to the frame is pretty much the same for 2013 and 2018 models. I unbolted my fender in about 10 mins also. Just 4 bolts. However, Thunderbike rear fender does not fit unless you cut or grind off those 4 'ears' from the frame. I see those 4 'ears' on your frame as well.
Finished look will be very similar to this:

Reason: change in wording
Ahhhhh, I see what you mean now. Thanx, I stand corrected. I wonder why they engineered it to require that done. I'd like to do a bobbed fender as such, but soooooo expensive. Then, they all look like **** unless ya spring for an equally expensive air shock. Pay to play I guess. Even more, lol, it only looks good when the bike is just sitting there with all the air out. I gotta pass at this point. Anyone know of a decent lowering device that'll lower the rear an inch or two without ruining the ride?: I think the stock fender would look cool slammed too.
