Klock werks 20" windshield
I've done the search and spent an hour or so reading the results so I'm kinda informed on this subject, however most of the reviews I found were a year of more old so I'm hoping someone has a more recent review.
I've found a 20" Klock werks windshield for sale for $100 and thought that perhaps someone on this forum can render some advice that will keep the $100 in my pocket instead of spending it on something that will end up hanging in my garage.
Thanks,

I have a shorter one and like it. I looked through the harley windshield and liked that also. Thought i'd give a shorter one a try. For me the vertict is still out. High or short. I have the billboard and I think it suits the Deluxe better than the stock windshield

I bought one for my Fatboy and after 2500 miles went back to my Harley shield. I seemed to be more sensitive to cross winds. They let me try it which was pretty cool and thought it was better but on the longer run stock won out. Got one on the wall if needed.
OK, I passed on the Klock werks billboard flare windshield for my Heritage, however the seller re-listed it for $75 and I just hate to pass this up at that price if it does what I'd want.
I'm OK with my stock 17.5" HD windshield, however my Wife does get quite a bit of helmet buffering. If the additional windshield height of 2.5" that this 20" Klock werks windshield has reduces the buffering for her, then $75 is well spent.
If it doesn't reduce it, then even though it's a good deal, I could probably live without it.
Does anyone have any information concerning passenger buffering reduction with the Klock werks windshield?
Thanks

I tried the same Billboard flare windshield on my Fat Boy and here's my experience with it. I use it with the factory Harley Nostalgic quick detach frame and hardware.
The Pros:
Blocks the wind very well. The flare at the top does seem to make a noticeable difference with buffeting and my wife noticed the same on the back. It seems to put the wind blast at about 2" above the top height of the shield because of the flare.
The width of it really keeps the wind off you well. It is wider than the stock shield by about 3" and it does noticeably change how much wind hits you. For highway cruising, it's great.
It is not laminated construction meaning that you can polish scratches out without worrying about de-laminating it like the Harley shield.
Cons:
Optics. Towards the top of the shield, there is a noticeable distortion because of the design of it. Nevermind about looking through the "flare" at the top. If your line of sight is through the flare, you probably won't be happy. As long as you get one that either lets you look over it, or through it below where the flare is, you should be fine.
Height and width. It does great at blocking the wind, but it is a big shield. The extra 3" in width are very noticeable, though it does have a nice looking shape to it overall.
Wind gusts from the side or when a truck goes by seem to catch it easier than the Harley shield. Maybe that's because it is larger, but it can make the front end feel squirrely at highway speeds when a truck passes you.
Overall, I'm very happy with it. I switch between the billboard and a Rifle windshield (very nice shield) depending on how long a trip I'm taking. For long highway rides, the billboard is great. For most other riding, I use the Rifle.

Thanks DCC, that's the info i was looking for.
My Wife and I ride about 50/50 local/highway and of course the slight buffering locally isn't a big deal, but I want to find a better/smoother riding experience for my Wife during the longer rides.
For $75 for the shield, I don't think I'll go wrong.
I'll be adding shockgun shocks to it shortly so that also should enhance the riding experience.

No problem.
Yeah, for $75 you really can't go wrong. Worst case scenario, you won't like it and you should have no problem selling it to recoup your investment.
Good luck with it. Hope it works out for you.

I have the 20" billboard flare for over 2 years now. I love it, my hands get less wind on them, the buffetting is noticeably less, but I agree with above, if you look through it, it is not a great choice. I am 6'1" and have no problems looking over it as you are supposed to.
