passed on black for a change, picked the fire red color, a little different look. now have to wait on stuff as funds are gone. got to get rid of those handlebars first. i've already posted about replacement bars, now just need to figure out which ones. feel like seat replacement might also be in order. thanks
I got rid of those wheels first, Then put the Street slammer bars on. Of course the cables were too long so they had to be replaced. While I was doing that I had to do it in chrome, Then the hand controls had to be changed also. WOW! changing the Bars turned into a HUGE expense![>:]
One thing leads to another. Now I'm broke till 2010 [sm=headbang.gif] LOL.
Funny guy.
Add removable saddle bags and you have the best of both worlds.
I just traded my street glide in on my fatboy. Best thing I ever did. Loved the Glide but for the type of riding I do the Fatty was waaaayy cooler for me!
How do the StreetSlammer bars position your hands and posture in the seat versus the stock Fat Boy bars? If the dealer did the install, how many labor hours they hit you up for?
I did the install myself. The street slammer bars are narrower, but the reach appears to be about the same. I am 6' tall.
I do need to put different mirrors on. With the bars narrower the mirrors don't extend far enough for me to see easily around my shoulder.
