Ur the same height as I. I put on 4 inch risers and HD mini apes. I wish I would have put the taller ones on, the minis r just a little shorter than I wanted.

I've got BR's on mine and I say the best is never too much. I found that the range of what you can get is just about unique to BR in all the searching I did. I'm sure there's probably guys out there but not with his rep.

I am not sure if it is the law most everywhere but here they can not be above your shoulders and the police will take any advantage to pull you over in my oil trash infested little town(I am also oil trash so no offence). I am 6' tall 200 pounds with a little longer arms then normal I would say. I'm sure no one can take those details and tell me the answer, but someone give me a good way to measure? Is it as simple as measuring up from the clamp 16 inches and see where your hand sits???
I honestly can't make any comments about the Carlini apes but I will comment about my apes and my experience. I am 6' and I have 16" Wild One Chubbies with 4" risers on my Springer and the grips come just below my shoulders and the top of the apes come just above my shoulders. I've been in all the states in the PNW and also a few other states when I went cross country to Sturgis and I can honestly say that I've never been stopped because of how high my apes are. I've been around city, county and state Leo"s and never had any issues. Like I sad, all I can do is relate my experiences but I can't say that what works for me will work for others. Take a chance and find out, that's what I did.

you heard it right, take a chance, what's the worst that can happen. some cop with a hair up his butt pulls you over. when you take it through inspection, just loosen them up and lower them towards you.
