So, I hopped on the Carlini bandwagon and installed a set of 14" 1.25" Gangster Apes.
Cables come from Magnum Shielding. +8 all around. In hindsight, I probably could have use +6 for brake and clutch cables just to tighten things up a bit.
But other wise I'm pretty pleased with them.
While I had the bike apart I did a turn signal relocation up front (from BK Rider) and a 2" tank lift. (from DK Custom Products)
I did 90% of this install on my own which is a big accomplishment for me because I had my doubts in my mechanical abilities.
Took it out for a test ride today and everything functioned perfectly!
I haven't had the chance to give is a bath yet so please excuse its dirtiness.
Looks good! May I ask why you went with the 1.25" rather than the 1.5" thick bars? In looking at your pictures those do look like the 1.5" bars but it's hard to tell anything from pictures. That's why I hate showing pictures of my bike, pictures just do not do any of OUR bikes justice, you can't see all the fine details.

I went with 1.25" over 1.5" because of the width. I thought that 36.5" wide would be more comfortable than 41". Also, IMHO I find a narrower width to be more ecstatically pleasing on a springer front end.
I would concur with you on the 1.25 bars being more fitting on the springer. I have to say, I'm surprised you got away with +8 cables; I had to send mine back for +12's.
looks good, so with the springer the narrower bars ride better? or just your preference.
I'm asking cause if they ride better I need to learn about it.

Bike looks good! Nice job.
Thank you Echo. Your bike was one of my inspirations to go gangster.
I'm surprised that a 07 NT can have measurements so different than an 05 Springer.
I took another members advice (can't remember the name at the moment) and grabbed the HD parts catalog and looked up the measurements they had for 16" apes for my model. I figured Carlini run a bit tall so the measurements should be close.
The brake cable was a little long but I think that's because the stock one had a hard line that passed between the forks and the springs. I wasn't about to pass a cable through there so it took some creativity and a couple of zip ties to get it where it needed to be.

Never rode one with the 1.50" to compare ride quality. I went for 1.25" because I thought that that size sat over the springer forks a little nicer.
