What cable/wire extensions did you use?
Al the cable kits that I've found start for 14" bars.
I'm getting the 10" strip bars.
Could those of you that have these bars please fill me in on what you used?
Thank you.
I recommend magnum shielding. That's whats on my bike, and they are nice cables.
I would go 66" on clutch, 46" on brake (non abs), and 36 1/2" throttle and idle cables.
That should be a pretty close fit without too much extra slack anywhere, as long as you are using the stock risers. For the wires, Harley makes extensions, and so does Namz. Get a 12" extension to have slack. It is very easy to tuck the extra in up under the fuel tank.
24v is spot on JD. Used those numbers for a set I installed a while back. I use Novello wire extensions for most of the bars I do. Magnum to me is the only cable out there. The stainless keeps it's brightness and the black keep the luster really well.
Just posting the other thread I made that is related to this.
24V answered my question on it.
I ordered my bars and I will update this when I get them installed. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...d-lengths.html
nice looking slim!
jimmy said those are stock lines? they look plenty long... do you ever have any problems with them getting tight or anything with the bars fully tuned to the left or right?
