If in stock form, you find you have been winding your bike higher in the rev range in an effort to get more power and better acceleration, you will probably be happy with the stage 1. After doing a stage 1, I always find I do not rev my bike as high thru the gears because the low end power has increased to the point I am happy with what it is giving me at lower revs.
Yes yes yes ..... Powervision 2 by from fuel moto, a map will come supplied upon arrival....plug it in, save you stock ecm calibrations to the unit, reflash the supplied map, all within about 2 minutes. You will be very happy. Plus all the other features.... look it up it is great.
FWIW, I had a discussion with a local independant mechanic about replacing the stock mufflers on my '14 Heritage - for me it will be SE slip ons, as I don't want that much louder, but I'd like a 'richer' sound. He suggested both the air cleaner and remap at the same time, and noted that many of his customers have their new bikes delivered to him for the same thing. Bottom line, better sound, slightly more power and cooler running.....sound pretty good to me.
I did the dealer's stage 1 down-load, SE air cleaner under my stock a-c shell and American Custom gutted mufflers with mid-rumble baffles. This was seat of your pants faster, cooler, and better mileage...and much better torque and nice sound, which is really what I like. I can drop it down in 6th gear much deeper. The power/torque was like being on a different motorcycle. With the exhaust open at first, it had nothing, but noise. After putting the mid-rumble baffles in, it gave the engine torque. N-A engines love a little exhaust resistance, which makes torque, being a street machine and not WOT all the time.
I like the stock exh look and the stock air cleaner look, but basically all different inside. Set-up like this makes it the best damn motorcycle I've ever owned, #36. Besides, the dealer knows all about it and my ext warr won't be a problem if something happens. Hate to use them, but with their oil, their work and their parts, they have no choice, my feelings and I'm happy!
My 2 cents!
