Appreciate the answers, and ignoring the sarcasm. Been a member for six years but only owned this bike for 2 weeks and ridden it 34 miles. I still cannot shift up form first and find neutral, even with my hand it won;t go there. Have to go back to the dealers area for a social function so will trailer it up and let them look at it. Sportster was the only other Harley I had this problem with and it went away after 1500 miles.
I know people have said it's a clutch cable adjustment, but I wanted to put my two cents in too.
My dealer told me outright that neutral is going to be hard to find until after the 1k mark. Through the first few hundred or thousand miles the clutch cable is going to stretch and wear in, as that happens neutral may become harder to find. They fix this at the 1k service.
Anecdotally, I couldn't find neutral from 2nd until after my own 1k service on my slim, I'd pop it down into 1st and just give my heel a little rock to find neutral.
I think you're over thinking it a little. Neutral is notoriously difficult to find on new bikes, and unless you're grinding or having a hard time shifting, just go out and get some miles on it. As the bike wears in and, more importantly, you become more in tune with it, I'm sure you'll find you can get there easier.
Its still hard, but makes it into N more than when it was new. Part of the problem is the N lite is in a different location than on the VRSCAW I used to own so I look in the wrong place for the lite. Have a theory that changing the oil at the 1000 mile, getting the 20W/50 out and putting 75/90W Gear oil in will make in better.

I go up from first to neutral by giving the heel shifter a little tap, I don't do it using my toe. Give it a try.
