Deuce Pictures
Those pipes sure look sharp , halfway tempted to get the Big Radius 2 into 1 . Problem is my Pro-pipe drags on occasion excelerating out of a sharp right hand corner and the BR 2-1 hangs quite a bit lower . If your not doing your intake right now there is no real need to use a fuel mgnt. system for just a pipe change , but you MUST do it when you change your intake .
Craig , would not trade my Deuce for any Rocker , I do a lot of 2 up riding and the Wife is not a small gal . The rocker is not the bike for a passenger . It's growing on me but I just can't get past that UGLY seat . I realize that is a neccessary evil with the design of the moving rear fender . Thing I like the best about the Rocker is that wide tire/ low sculpted fender . Guess it would make a great solo ride bar hopper !
seater out of a one seater. Which in my opinion, they failed
miserably. That bike is made to be a one up rider period. That
being said, if someone makes a seat that closes that gap to the
rear fender, it would be a step in the right direction. Because
with some work, the Rocker does have some potential.
P.S. I would never trade my Deuce for one. "EVER"!!!!!!
How's it going?
The bike is looking good my man. How's she treating you?
Thanks for droping in. You know you always have astool
at theDeuce bar with your name on it.
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
I've got an 07 Deuce andi ordered it in late October 2006 (arrived February 2007 delivered May 2007... very long story - don't ask) i was told by the dealer here the 08 Deuce would have a240 rear. Obviously that was kinda true, but a Deuce the Rocker is not.
I was really tempted by the idea of 240 rear and i considered for about a week before ordering the 07. I looked a alot at the PM 240 phatail kit as an alternative but in the end decided only to replace the stock 160 rear with a 200. Why? A number of little reasons, price for the 240 kit plus installation in Oz is horrible, ridability (there is alot of talk online here about a LHS drift with a larger tyre), a 200 meant retaining the stock swingarm, fender and preserved the Deuce long and low styling. Plus PM didn't at that stage have a kit for the new 6 speed transmission that came with the 07 and i didn't really want to waitany longer then necessary. After seeing the Rocker I'm very very happy i chose the 07 Deuce. I think HD have got it wrong trying to design a chopper - I know they want a share of the massive after-market market, but there are specialists out there that make a living off choppers and in my opinion their designs are better than the HD attempt - perhaps HD will improve with time?
It could come down to what you want to spend to customise the bike in its stock form, you might find the Rocker a cheaper option to get it to your "finished" standard, but that seat... ugh. I'm biased, but i'd go for the 07, not wait till mid 2008 for delivery and tip the difference into some accessories like pipes, SERT, AC and some chrome. Whatever you do for accessories, if you get them shipped from the USA you'll save 50% on Oz retail (but add shipping costs).
