Could someone with the harley flush gas caps, do me a favor.
measure the diameter of the cap, from the inside of the fill hole to the outside of the chrome ring.

thanks

Aha...Please post when you get this figured out. Been a PITA to try and find flush mounts for the Deuce. I thought I read someplace (here?) about someone tweaking another application to fit but never been able to find it again. Either way, hard to believe there isn't anything from HD to fit the Deuce.

Didn't the Rockers get the left over Deuce tanks? They have a flush mount part no. Wonder if they'll fit.

you can put either one of the flush mount LED sets on your Deuce (softail or touring), it all depends on if you want to keep the low fuel light in the speedo, or have it on the LED fuel gauge.
I "had" the softail version gauge on my Deuce and didn't like only having 6 LED's for fuel level and one red LED for low fuel/reserve.
I changed my flush LED fuel gauge out for the "touring" version flush LED gauge, it has 7 LED's and no low fuel indicator in it, that way you keep the low fuel light in your speedo.

now, on the flush gas cap........

here's why the moco says it "doesn't fit FXSTD", the plastic chrome trim ring needs to be "formed" to the contour of the Deuce gas tank, you need to heat the trim ring with either a heat gun (WATCH THE HEAT) or a hair dryer (takes longer than the heat gun) to slightly bend the trim ring to fit the contour of the Deuce tank.

overall it's a pretty easy install!

do you still have the ones you removed? if so would you like to sell them?

the reason why i asking about the diameter of the ring, i had the kuryakyn ones.
and they were tighten to tight and since the tank is curved the caps marked the
paint, and i'm trying to coverthe marks.

have a nice holiday and let me know if you want to sell the softtail caps

thanks

NO!

form it to the contour of the tank first before you stick it on, you will need to trial fit it several times before it's right.
then, after you're satisfied with the fit, peel the backing off the adheasive and stick it.

happy holidays everybody!
