Curse you, Mother Nature! [:@]

I've been looking forward to this ride all week!

I'm with ya on that. It just isn't going to feel right driving to that museum. I just figured that no one would want to put it off for another week. If the majority of people want to hold off and try to make the ride next weekend in hopes of it being dry, we'll hold off on driving up there this weekend and wait for the ride.

That sounds good.. Lets hope the weather co-operates with us for this weekend.

As of right now, for Simpsonville, SC there's a 30% chance of thunderstorms on Saturday and 40% on Sunday. For Maggie Valley, NCthere's a 40% chance of thunderstorms both Saturday and Sunday. I really hope those percentages go down, but it's looking doubtful.

As Dynamite has stated on the road. A 40% chance of rain in NC means you have a 100% chance of getting wet.

I agree. And that's why I'll be driving up there unless the majority decides they want to wait until next weekend and hope for a better forcast.

My vote would be to wait till next weekend if the weather doesn't clear. There's just something fundamentally wrong with four-wheeling to a bike museum!
I'll just do the veteran's ride that's going on this weekend instead. Prolly close enough to civilization that I can pull over somewhere if I start to get wet. It's not the cleaning the bike that bothers me, its the way the bike handles when the road is wet.

I agree with that. I vote for next weekend as well. I would much rather ride there.

Try taking the stock Dunlops off and mount up a sticky
set of tires like Avon or Metzeler, then wet roads will
never bother you again!

The stock Dunlop tireshave barely enough traction for
riding on dry roads...

I would like to keep the option open of going this weekend. My bike missed me last week while I was on vacation. accuweather.com says the t-storm are only a probability and late in the afternoon.
