As said before, Dallas area is flat and plain. Ride your Harley down to Austin for a weekend.....5th Street live music capital of the world, and then ride West into the Hill Country....beautiful. Many other nice places to visit also.

Uh-oh Ben - them's fightin' words - you're gonna need to prove it!! Sonny's is pretty darn good IMHO.

ORIGINAL: Cigar Aggie

And I had to add that Sonny's doesn't hold a candle to Railhead BBQ.......Life is too short to live in Dallas!

And well, .... I guess I won't beat you up - I have no frame of reference since I've never lived anywhere in Texas except the Metroplex. I SUPPOSE I'll keep an open mind!!

In my honest opinion, you need to get outside of Dallas to enjoy the real Texas! Bet Annie is gonna[sm=icon_beat.gif]!

Deadcarny, you can check out schools at [www.tea.state.tx.us] which regulates public education.
Go to the vertical tool bar on the left side of the Home Page and click on Academic Excellence
Indicator System. latest data is from 04/05 school year.

Stay out of Dallas. I'm a Dallas cop, so I'm kinda biased against the city. The criminal element starts with the Mayor. Go to Plano or even farther north. Stay out of the southern suburbs,Mesquite and Garland. You can find nice places to live in Carrolton, most likely the eastern part that borders Plano. But Plano is your best bet, best restaurants, beer is sold in the whole city,as opposed to parts of Dallas, which is dry. Dallas Harley is in Allen, just off of 75,about 5 miles north of Plano. You can get a 4 bedroom with a pool for under 200,000 also. Good luck, see ya on the road. On your bike that is.

There's a great HD dealership near Carrolton...Harley Davidson of North Texas. I live in Plano and have a dealer near me, but I prefer to take my bike to HD of North Texas. They also have an active HOG chapter.
