Dash unit malfunction
Today I went to start my bike (2013 sportster 72) and the entire dash unit stayed off while the bike was running. I then shut the bike off and re-started it and the dash unit began to work. Then I got home shut it off and later started it again and the same issue occurred. But the strange part is the dash unit works when I turn the ignition on but as soon as the bike fires up, it cuts out. My headlight and brake lights still work, as well as the high beam. But not the turn signals. I took the bike in last week for a new stater, not sure if it's just a coincidence or if the installation of the new stater had an effect. But it's very annoying because the speedo does not move when I'm at speed, nor does my gas light turn on when I'm running low. (I know because I ran out of gas today) has anyone had this problem before? Or heard of it? If so any suggestions?
