Most here would probably laugh the way I change up often while riding but I just seem to like it. Anyone else or am I the freak around here?
I love the Mid controls,I too have highway pegs andI like the ability to change it up. Its funny because a lot of the timeI ride with my left foot on the mid and my right on the highway peg.
I like my mid controls as well. I have found that as I go into a turn I kindahug the tank withmy legs .....not really sure why ..but I do. Iguess it's just how I thought my self to ride when I first started out ona crtoch rocket....and the fact of having the mid controls makes that possible for me.
To me it's like having a car with a stick....the mid controls makes it feel Sportier.
Of course.... being short doesn't really work with forwards either. I don't like the feel of having to stretch out to ride.
I like the mid controls.I'm short also and they are more comfortable to me.I do have the highway pegs and I use them only a little bit.Tehy look nice though.
I like the mids because they make my legs an extra set of shock absorbers. Really takes the preasure off your tail bone. But I have short legs (32" inseam), so no cramps that I've heard others complain about. They do get in the way when backing up sometimes.
I'm an old Triumph and BSA rider from the '60's and do like the mid-controls on my Roadster. That being said, I also like to be able to stretch out on the longer rides at times, so I put Iron City's highway pegs on. It's nice to have the choice. I guess it's all about whatever makes you comfortable...
Could some of you guys or gals post pics of your highway pegs with mid controls ? I have only seen the highway pegs mounted on the crash bars. I dont care for crash bars myself I like to have a cleaner look for my bike.
I like the mid pegs for running through the twisties, much more control of the bike in that posture. However, I would like forward controls for the comfort. I'm 6 ft. or a little over, as you can see from the sig pic. I'm a bit wadded up while on the bike.
Highway pegs would probably be best for me, but I have yet to find any for the rubber mounted engine bikes, that don't require an "engine guard". That term must have came from the same person that brought us the "jiffy stand".
I don't want an "engine guard", or crash bars either.
