Not sure how to explain this but I am installing the barnet extra plate clutch on a 2003 883 sportster and when I took of the primary cover a small square piece of metal with two holes fell out, I have no idea where this came from and I do not want to put the cover back on until I know where this is supposed to be I have looked at several diagrams and do not see this and looking at the bike I see nowhere this goes any help would be much appreciated.
Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. One possibility is that it has broken off something else, another is that is has come adrift from where it belongs. You can take a look at this parts website to see if you can identify it, otherwise try and post a photo of the offending part.
Thanks I am pretty sure that was it unfortunately the screw that holds it in is somehow missing not sure where it went it is a mystery. Got the new clutch plates in but unfortunately something still not right shifting, still feels off not sure how to explain but seems loose and sloppy back to the drawing board.
