molsenice,

I am REALLY sorry you are having to go through all of this with a new bike you bought! At this point, I'd like to be seeing the dealer initiating the action for you of replacing your bike with a new one, but I guess that will never happen.[&o]

I sincerely hope you are successful in making your case to the MOCO, and based on your record I'd not think that would be too hard to do - it's probably a case of how many hoops they'll make you jump through to be successful in getting the bike replaced.[:@]

Best of luck, and I know you'll keep us posted...

4:20 - Tue: called MOCO to verify the file had been faxed to them, interesting little micky mouse operation in this day and age of computers. Get this, they may have been faxed, but once recieved, they have to be manuly scanned into their system, to be on file. SCANNED? anyone ever posted a picture, sent an e-mail - wholly crap! - stay tuned - it's getting close to beer thirty.

I would say if you can't get them to replace the bike, you should consider settling for a brand new crated engine. That's only a last resort Plan C sort of thing....You need to really stick with Plan A first...Getting them to replace the bike. Keep all your options open....be persistant and be curteous...It can work to your advantage :-)

molsenice,
No surprise here. It's what companies do. They will investigate everything and take their sweet time doing it. At the same time driving you nuts. Play the game and don't be rude until you have to. Like they say you can catch more flies with honey, but there's a point where you'll have to smash them with a swatter if they don't cooperate. Remember you will be the winner because 1) you are right 2) it's cold outside and there's nothing you'd rather do but bug the moco to give you a new bike since you can't ride it now even if it worked and 3) you've got lots and lots of beer to keep you calm and those bastards can't drink on the job.

1200c you did it again - at least I can LMAO while working out this situation. Quick question - not to change the subject: "Butch" @ the dealer mentionion something about getting the bike on the stand possibley this afternoon. I told him "DON'T BOTHER" - just take the plate off, put a coat of polish on it (I was specific about the plate here) and then STICK IT in his top draw till the MOCO sends the new bike (yes, I said this in a curtious and very polite mannor). I continued with the fact that this would give him easiy access to the cutom plate "1HDLT" when MY RUNNING bike arives from the MOCO. IF Butch trys to get me to pick up the above mentioned mechanical disaster, do I have any grounds to tell him no? - I mean he could then get pricklish and try charging me winter storage. Still laughing - stay tuned
