Fran....I am so glad to hear that great news! It happened even faster than I could have imagined! Hopefully, all will be smooth sailing from here on out and if Laurie does what she says she's going to do, this is why we own Harleys. They take care of their customers when they need to. That's what good customer service is all about. Yes, I know you had to be put through the ringer for it, but you are getting what you want and they are admiting to their faults. This is great for all Harley owners. Great job and hang in there, pretty soon you'll be ridin' a brand new bike....Hopefully not in the snow :-)

WarriorHD - yes I'm happy, and after everyones support, I don't really want to split hairs, but - I really never wanted to blame anyone since the way I look at it, they make a s!!T load of bikes and odds being what they are, eventually, one of them is a turd. As long as the MOCO stands behind what Lisa said, I will gladly sing there praise, but remeber, I DID DROP , coins and got a turd. I just want what I paid for and the only recognition goes to all the folks who stood next to me and said "Dude - this ain't right - the MOCO needs to make it right, keep your cool, jump through their hoops and it will get made right." Well, it looks like they will, as 1200c said:

You ain't done yet. We of course want pics of the new ride.
Pics - Absofriginloutly - folks, thanks again, as I said to my "hunter/killer" - yet to kill this season partner @ school (sorry Dan) - I can feel my face again, I think I have a case of PER-MA-GRIN and I'm likin it!

As for what thumper and others have said - you bet - it will take a little to get over what I've had to deal with - a little beer, a little time, a little more time and - A LITTLE SPRING TIME SUN!!![sm=gears.gif]

as a footnote: Lots of students by for trick or treating tonight - many wondering why the bike wasn't part of the holloween garb this year ( I take my daughter and son to my sisters and Parents, then my wife goes out and robs the neighborhood with the kids), a few of my students mentioned they were probable sure why it was not - I wasn't even going to get costumed up like I usually do with my kids - that phone call really lifted a weight - I can only hope the rope holds and it doesn't snap.

Just got off the horn with my dealership - surprisingly, they still have not heared anything from the MOCO and even more surprised at their quick response and solution to make the situation right, without calling to verifiy the situation with them (not like they could dispute the service record). Mike was very happy for me and said I have pretty much made his day, he's going to tell the others @ McDermott's as they have all been sick over what I have gone through and was sure they were all going to be smiling that the MOCO is going to do right. I asked if I had to expect any surprises on the swap and mentioned any price increase or charges for swaping over the upgrades - he said it shouldn't be a problem and agreed with me that this shouldn't cost me a nickel, including the tank of gas. Well I have all winter to get the details ironed out, still stunned that it looks like it's going to work out - stay tuned...

And to make up for all the riding you have missed you can come visit each one of use next year. Did you get it in the same color as the old bike? Also, is it a leftover 05 or new 06?
