Just got rid of my black '15 Limited and I was looking into the '19 1200 custom. The H-D site doesn't seem to offer it in vivid black. That can't be right, can it? A blacked-out bike that doesn't come in black? Surely, even the MoCo isn't idiotic enough for that! I was thinking of a small, zippy replacement for the behemoth that I just sold, but if it ain't black, then I ain't interested in it. For me, black and chrome are the ONLY colors that belong on a hog.
Doesn't look like there is any gloss black, the closest is the silver flux/black fuse, guess you'll have to buy something else. The Roadster is available in vivid black with red trim...pretty sweet bike.

Won't be a Harley. That was the only model in the Sportster line I was interested in and I sure as hell don't don't want an M8.
Oh well... I had said that the '15 Limited would be my last new Harley. Looks like the ol' MoCo is making sure I keep that promise!
I cringed so hard the first time I watched that video
Agreed. That's the only color I would buy. Brilliant of the MoCo not to offer it. A blacked-out bike but you can't get it in vivid black. WAY too much coke being consumed in that company these days! WTF were they thinking??
Both my 07 and my 96 are black, well my 96 was before I bought a new gas tank but itll most likley be black again
Yeah the MOCO does do some odd things sometimes...
But not offering black is just dumb... did the painters go on strike or something refusing to paint black, I mean come on...
Who knows maybe someone is having a lil too much fun with the booger sugar..
I think it's more like the MoCo has completely lost touch with reality. Sure seems like that when you look at some of the mindless BS they come up with.
I'm so happy I've had a Vivid Black Sportster for almost 29 years. I see those black matte bikes, and they always look like a rattle can primer job, unfinished. Not for me. That glossy black paint just complements the chrome like peanut butter and jelly.
It's sheer blasphemy not to offer a Sportster in Vivid Black!

That denim black or whatever They call their matte black is ugly, not to mention I hear it can be a pain to detail without putting a slight shine to the matte paint..
Only thing worse then a matte black harley is a matte black dodge charger, Chevy chevelle or just about any matte paint muscle car really
Only thing I like matte black is a old t bucket or model a hotrod but even then it's still iffy..
