Default Peanut tank observations...

I have always been a big sportster fan........And in my opinion the peanut tank is kinda what gives the sporty its definitive sporty bare bones look......Ain't got nothing against other model sportys whatsoever, but for some reason the peanut tank just looks darn good on a sporty.....Kinda like a glass a cold milk with some oreo cookies...Or a nice guiness stout poured in a thick glassed cold mug..... Some things just go together well ......Harley got it right when they built the sportsters with the peanut tank....Not great for long distance cruising......BUT perfect for 90% of what most sportys are used for....Long live the sportsters.

IMHO, I hate the look of the peanut tank. Fine for you, not for me,

I prefer the peanut tank, especially the small tank on a Ironhead.

For looks you're right. For practicality I'll take the tank on my Custom, which sure doesn't look bad!

I also prefer the appearance of the peanut tank. But I sure do get tired of stopping for fuel all the time.

Yeah, it is kind of nice that the best looking Harley is the least expensive. You can modify it to add comfort, or practicality, or range, or power. You can make it look different, but you can'tmake it look any better.

Agreed, the peanut tank is Sportster! The other tank just looks out of place. Almost as if it belongs on a big twin!
