My Triumph owner's manual says use te key; not the switch.
My FXD owner's manual says use the switch; then tur off the key.

I say heck with using either the switch or the ignition key/lever.
When you want to turn off the bike just tilt it over past a 45 degree angle and the bank angle sensor will automatically shut it down.
Now that's an idea!!!

You should never start your Harley. Wear or damage to mechanical parts could result.
I agree every time you start you engineyour putting wear on your engine! lol
I've heard that if you start your Harley more than 5 times a day (and Harley finds out), they could void your warranty because of abnormal wear and tear, and put the owner at fault.
