Default Heel toe shifter for XL1200L with forward control kit?

I have a 2008 Sportster 1200 Low with the HD forward control kit. Does anyone sell a heel toe shifter that will work with this kit? I've found plenty for mid controls, and I've seen at least one that claims to work with "stock forward controls". Not sure what that even means: do any Sportsters have forward controls from stock, or does that just mean the HD forward control kit is installed at the factory?

Thanks, Brett S.

I have not used this product, but the only one I have heard of is the Rock-It.

This one appears to be a 'knock-off' of the one above...

hth,

T.
Interesting. The DkCustom page says it's for "For 2004-Up Sportsters w/ Factory Forward Controls". I'm still not sure what that phrase means. I believe the controls that are on my bike now are HD part 33395-06A. I didn't purchase the bike new, but I'm assuming this forward control extension kit was added by the first owner. Does "Factory Forward Controls" refer to this HD kit or something else? Is that kit installed on some Sportster models at the factory?

Thanks, Brett S.

Not too sure the 2004 Sporties had a Low in that year, but I've been known to be wrong at times. I know the 05 883 came out with a Low and then the 06 1200 followed suit.

Nevertheless, Harley built some models that came from the factory with the controls in the forward position, like the Custom and others, so the term "w/ Factory Forward Controls". Others came from the factory with the mid-controls. Your model most likely had the mid-controls and the owner changed them, as some do, to have the forward controls with the kit you mentioned. Essentially, it's the same components Harley uses for the "w/ Factory Forward Controls".

IMO, you would be safe to use the heel-toe shifters mentioned above.

I have a Sporty Custom and went the
other way, from "Factory Forward Controls" to mid-controls.

Factory means made from harley for that specific bike—so a bike with mids from the factory won’t work but if you put harley (factory) forwards on then you’re good. Sportsters frames of any given year are identical. So the bolt holes are there.

That all makes sense, and it's what I was hoping. I appreciate the explanation.
I'd love to have a heel toe shifter, but not if it meant going back to mid controls. I really love the forward control layout.
