To me it's just more to go wrong but I don't leave my bike around like somebody that rides to work. By the time you need to override it with the turn signal switches ( like if the bat dies in the fob) you probably won't remember how to do it, and who rides with their manual? A steering lock would be enough for me. DP
I carry the little card the dealer gave me , that explains how to over ride the alarm, I put the siren on after the dealer installed the security system. The first siren I installed was a dud, the second one works OK but there not real sensative in my opinon.
I ride to work when its not raining, I park next to the dock, the doors are open, and if anyone mess's with the bike I can hear the siren.
I have seen cheaper alarms,$149.00 with a siren if I had to do it all over again, no security system, I am usually pretty close to my bike when I ride.
