hey y’all second post! Lol I literally spend my free time reading through this and xlforum but I found a bunch of threads that almost came close to mine but not quite so if im bringing up something that’s already been addressed I apologize after reading different posts from searching this topic but it is as if none of them fit my exact problem although I attempted. Long story short my local garage found me a 2000 1200xlc with only 900 miles sitting in this old mans shed that was his wife’s but passed. Bought it without a question as they never let me down before although other people I know talk badly about the shop. First red flag I noticed was how they say twist the throttle as you hit the start button. I get for the auto enricher in the carb the shoots some gas but I noticed the main reason I feel they said this is because it does not start with the enricher cable pulled all the way out and press start. I followed their advice that im almost positive does damage to the carb or warming the engine up by just holding the throttle open. Saved up some money and ordered new enrichment cable and drag specialties rebuild kit. Went to take the bowl off as rebuilding and cracked the bowl. Luckily Ihave a 97 Honda Nighthawk I could use in the meantime until i got another bowl. I saw on amazon an over 4 star cv replica that i bought for $40 and put it on with the drag specialties(traumatic brain injury, can’t form new memories but think that’s the name of company lol) enricher. Pulled enricher all the way out opened petcock waited a few and hit start and she fired right up. The only aftermarket she has is Vance and hynes exhaust. Went to push the enricher in and she died, after she was plenty warmed up. Tried the throttle adjustment screw but just made her idle high. I turned the air fuel mixture screw out 2 turns but its obvious she’s not getting gas. I am open to any and all options. I’m at the point of finishing rebuilding the Harley CV and taking the bowl off the amazon carb? I’m stumped and she’s my daily rider and just by how dirty the factory cv was shows the shop def did not do her justice and clean the carb because I have only put 100 miles on her so far for it to be that dirty and jets that scratched. And upon taking the factory carb out of the Berryman bucket she was shining after a proper wipe down. I really didn’t want to put the old carb on until i could get the drag specialties bowl but whatever gets us back on the road I am all for. Also if anyone has links to really good throttle cables and an air filter would be greatly appreciated. Ride free
Update; the original carb had 42 and 170 jets. Am going to switch them out tomorrow because in the amazon carb the jets it came in with were 170 main and 45 slow jet. Assuming slow jet is the idle jet? Regardless could this be why it is not getting fuel when idling as well as mess with the air/fuel mixture screw. When i twist the throttle with the enricher pulled out everything sounds great.
45 jet is fine, as long as it's working. How many total turns out on the idle mix screw? I would make sure the pilot jet/ idle mix passages are clear and your 45 jet isn't clogged. It does sound like your idle and pilot circuits are not working.

Yeah all the jets are shiny new but obviously the 42 lets less gas flow through than a 45 would right? So it couldn’t be that. I ordered the drag specialties bowl just can’t figure why she only getting enough fuel through the enricher

You need to examine the pilot jet and idle circuit. That's the only circuit that allows idle and midrange fueling. The fact the jets are shiny new is irrelevant. Get a can of carb cleaner, put the plastic straw on it, take out the IMS and pilot jet, and blast out the passages, try to look in the carb to see if the idle port and transition ports are clear and carb cleaner comes through. Look into the pilot jet and see if it's open, it's tough, but you should be able to see it's clear. I use a strong magnifiying glass at times.
Why are you ordering a bowl? I missed that part in your (very hard to read!) original post. Paragraph breaks are your friend.
