I have in effect a shift light in my car. It suggests which gear I can be in or ought to change down to.
My auto has alot of that kind of info on the display screen. I do not like it. I have a brain of my own. I don't need no stinkin' computer to run my driving/riding time! Also, I will never own something with a camera facing the operator.

If it is "stock" programming from the Mfg, then I would say that they have programmed
this "shift light" for the "best fuel ecomomy", not for performance. Typically, if I
am manually shifting gears in an automobile(car), I don't need "guidance" from a "factory" shift
light, I can figure it out myself....
Ran the quick lite in my foxes, its not too big. The Koso tach has a shift light, set it to 5.8k for my stock cams, funny thing is when down on it Ill hit my 6250 limiter before I see the little Koso light pick. Old eyes on road, I guess.
On tracks the shift lights are cool, long straight and banging away. Ive found on the streets where I roam theres too much outside noise (critters/cagers) to watch for a light when hard rolling, the limiter works.
