OK...you purists that hate weenie-shields and hard bags, close your ears...
I wanted to get a set on National Cycle hard bags for the Sporty. I was going to wait until November when I got an extra paycheck to buy them, and a couple other things that I wanted to finish the bike off. (Chrome belt guards, etc.) I went on their website Saturday to send the link to a friend and the price was $230! I looked at all the other bags and they were still $649. SO, I put a set in the shopping cart to see if I'd get that price at check out. It gave them to me for $230. Then I kept waiting for a call or e-mail that there was an error on the price...none ever came. But the bags got here today and they are nicer looking in person than on the website. They weren't marked as refurbished and I see no flaws in them. The price is also back up to $649.
I can't wait until I get the chrome belt guard and sprocket cover set in next week so I can pack everything up and take it to my local independent who does work for me dirt cheap.
Congratulations on the great deal. Any one who read the post on the true spirit of motorcycling would be proud of you doing what you want with your bike. Besides, how can you go wrong with a black bag for your black bike?
Nice buy, bet the e-commerce manager is catching hell for that one. Im jealous Throw up some pics when you can. Did you get the bags that form around the rear turn signals?
I'm not ready to pay $649 for bags yet. But a set of hard bags for $230? Oh, yeah! I'd have to jump on that even if I WASN'T in the market for hard bags (and I'm not)! I know how much hard bags go for and $230 is a great price! Congratulations, and you WILL post pics, won't you?
Oh, and just out of curiosity, will anyone even be able to see your new chrome sprocket covers with the bags on?
That was an excellent buy, but as a member of this community, didn't you let down your fellow membersjust a bit by not posting the great find until after the sale was over? Shame on you, may your bags rattle for 7 days and 7 nights as punishment.

So tell me, what you gonna do with the old bags?
They already havea home. A guy at work wants to buy them and the supports for his wife for her Sporty. He's tired of her cramming all her stuff on his RK when they ride.

No...I didn't like those anyway. Plus, it causes you to lose space in the bags. The ones that were marked down were the ones that have the turnsignal relocation kit (like the ones on the pic.) The only problem may be that the bags may be too big for me to use the flag bracket that I have. Guess we will see.

As I said, I kept waitng to get a call and e-mail that the price was wrong. Had I know that they would give them at that price, I would have posted it.
...and my pipes are too loud to hear any rattle...
Not my cup of tea but those are nice looking I must say and you got a great deal, do you do your own wrenching? PM me regarding the chrome belt guards.
