Anyone have auxillary lights? I want to get them with the smoked lenses. They look great on the big bikes but I dont recall seeing them on a sportster. If you have them, do you like them?
I have HD auxiliary lights on my '05 1200R and like the looks a lot. Plus, I figure the extra lights have got to make me more visible to all of those "careful" drivers out there! If I figure out how to post a pic of my bike, I will do so soon ...
I've thought about it, but am not sure I would like the look on a sporty. In addition to making you more visible to others, is there a significant increase in road illumination because that would be useful on some of the narrow unlit country lanes around me.
I Like the idea of extra lighting where in Florida with the idiots that can't see or hear and on a cell phone besides, need every advantage possible to be seen only question is does the laternator put out enough juice for them without straining in Amps...
I've got them on my '06 Custom and really like the look. The extra visibility makes me happy. I have the clear lenses with the halogen bulbs and the extra light they put out for night riding is awesome. Fairly easy to put on - save yourself a lot of hassle and take the extra 10 minutes to take the tank off.
They look pretty good and will be great for night riding. I also like the look of the ones 3power found, just not to crazy about the position they are mounted.
I believe onecan NEVERhave enough lights; we seem to be invisible to cagers. Show of hands:Who'sever been hit by a cager who said, "I SWEAR I never saw you!"??? I've been, and I've been involved in and even witnessedother bikers almost get hit w/cars pulling out right in front of them.
I got the Triple T's on my 2008 1200 XL and I like thelooks.HeyHD: how's about a 1200 from the factory with all the same stuffthe Heritage Softail Classic got on it?1200T for Tourer? Anyway, I also got the sissy bar insert LED brake lights and the turn signals into brake lights kit.
I pay attention to bikes coming the other wayand it seems to methat with one headlight the human eye focuses on that one spot. Seems to meit'sdifficultto tell how faraway theapproaching bike is.
Once I sawa bikecoming at me withPIAA litesat the fork bottoms; bolted to axle, I guess.Itseemed to methe immediateimpression on the eyeball wasthebike was bigger and closer. I been thinking about getting them, too.
How many lights can I add before the alternator says 'nuff already?
