Oil temp guage?

Have a 07 883L. Thinking about getting an oil temp guage. How long do they last before they go out?

Not quite sure what you mean by "go out".... I have the temp gauge that's integrated within the oil filler cap on my 2005 and it works great for me.

I have the same dipstick oil temp guage.Over 25,000 miles on it so far....no problems.

Harley sells a lot of them because the oil filler cap is difficult to remove/replace.

Since you say "go out", are you refering to a digital temp. guage? There is really nothing to go out in the analog guage.

I've been to several LARGE rallys. Still have the dipstick. Got some lipstick at a couple of the Rallys, but THAT'S a whole different story.

I've had the analog one on my '06 for almost two years (15,000 miles) and it still works fine
