I have a HD quick detach and for me it's imperative for long highway trips, and in cold weather. I pull it off when it's warm, though. Only problem now is I am doing the passing lamp kit and the windshield wont fit with the extra lights on each side of the headlamp.

Binny and TestFlyer, I got em from HD. The invoice calls them "Pony Bags". THey zip on and off. HOWEVER If I had it to do over again, I'd have gotten something different. I'm going to have to check into some kind of inserts to make them keep their shape better.

BTW Paid like $289 for them from the dealer.

Reading all of these is making me wish I could afford that quick detach shield, Ive got a slipstreamer. Does come off in 5 to 10 minutes but leaves the ugly brackets behind, but it was only 140 new.

Jagator....Your bike looks sweet. Nice color...The windshield looks good too. I might have to pick one up for the longer rides..

Mine is the quick detach,a bud got it on his used 1200C & hates them so he gave it to me

Bike was ready for Thunder in the Valley trip.Unfortunately I got called into work instead

30 seconds on or off & it's cut for the fog lamps he won't give me[:'(]

Hate the way mine looks, but is sure comes in handy on a 40 something degree day like today...
