In my experience with sporties, it is an art to get into neutral while moving. Once you get it down, its second nature. My first sportie years ago, I had the same problem. Each sportie after that I have not noticed it. I guess im trained. As for at a stop; rock the bike a bit, it will pop right in.
Straight cut gears make it hard to find the neutral, the rockin' thing is the best advice. The straight cut gears also make for strong as hell tranny, noisy but strong!
I guess some things are just harder (snicker) for women!

I'll admit after a long day of riding I am looking for neutral every chance I get because my clutch is so hard to pull after riding all day and messing with it I am praying not to have to hold the clutch in....that's usually when it's REALLY hard to find neutral.
Ha! Ha! Seriously some big strong men have rode my bike and say my clutch is particularly hard to pull.
