This week i've had three people ask me if my bike is new or old. I liked that. Must be the rusty Roland Sands bars. Any of you guys get asked that when on your sporty?
People usually ask me "when you going to wash it? it's a HARLEY, man!" I just smile.
Every bug, every spot of dirt or water spot, every bit of caked on mud (ugh, we went serious dual-sporting on road bikes the other day) - it's all well earned.
The rust, the dirt... whatever it is that keeps it from looking like a garage queen... is A-OK by me. Wear it proudly
I have my bike's pic on the computer as wallpaper at work. Some guy at work last night saw it and asked if my bike was a 70s model.
He said he liked the old style look and the "big shocks"
Ilike to keep my bike clean and still ride it. Some people are multitalented like that.

I liked when the nightster wasn't so known cause people would always tell me "I like what you did to that sportster" haha oh well I still like it even if it's starting to get played out. I'll just have to customize it till it's different!!!
I like disc brakes and electronic ignition, but the vintage stuff LOOKS better. So we can make the best of both worlds. I like the kick starter too , and the belt drive. I can hear my wife's gentle voice, "now I'll never be satisfied, you selfish porkface..."
I read the original design for the nightster had kickstart but before it got okay'd the kickstarted never left the drawing board Too bad too that would have been a sick feature, I don't think I would ever use the electric start unless of course I were leaving my house and no one were looking
There is not to many nightsters in my town, and i have had to explain on several occasions that i havent done anything but add some accessories to a stock 07, but anyone that knows what the hell they are looking at usually knows what the hell they are looking at. If that makes any sense at all.......
