Got up this morning and was gonna ride my bike to work and the battery was weak and wasnt enough juice to fire up the bike. The lights came on and the starter turned slowly but wouldnt fire it up. Came home and hooked up the battery charger/float tender and checked the positive cable. Seems to be tight. Anything else i should check? Its an 07 1200 custom-stock.
i have a black and decker automatic charger, I actually carry it with me all the time, its small enough to go in my saddlebag and does a good job,its not a trickle charger, but id love havin the tender.
Ok will check the ground cable. I have a Schumacher 1.5 amp slow charge battery charger maintainer with float mode monitoring. Is that the tender you guys are talking about?

Ok i checked to see if the bike would start after about 4 hours on the charger/tender and it fired right up. I am gonna keep it charging till the charged light comes on. I checked the negative cable and its tight. Im wondering if sitting in stop and go traffic for 1 1/2 hours last friday may have drained down the battery? The only riding i did saturday and sunday was short hops to and from the store.
