Default Battery trouble

Friday, I went to ride my 07 EG & the battery was too low to start the bike. I put it on a battery tender on Saturday & today, I tried to start it again. Lights came on strong, fuel pump sounded normal, but the engine would not crank at all. Not even a click.... Is there something I missed? or would switching out the battery fix it. Battery tender was showing green until I pressed the start button then went right to yellow...

Clean and tighten your battery cables. Good place to start anyway. You really should not have the battery tender on there when trying to start it. If your battery was low enough, it would blow the tender.

Battery tenders are just that - tender for a normally powered battery that only needs a trickle charge to top it off. My experience is that they won't charge a depleted battery, even if the light indicates otherwise. My two occasions where the tender "failed" were actually a bad battery and a broken tender connection at the battery terminal - something else you might check I guess.

If you haven't replaced the battery since the bike was new now is probably the time. Remove the battery and take it to an auto parts store and have them check the cranking amperage and battery voltage.

Bought my new one at Batteries Plus a few months ago, it has been flawless. If the bike is an 07 with the original battery it is probably time for a new one.

Batteries don't last forever. Change it out before it hurts your charging system.

Do you have the Kill Switch turned "On?" Been there and done that m'self.

The Battery Tender Lamp changed color because the current draw on the bike's electrical system exceeded the Battery Tender Output . . . and it doesn't take much to do that.

Knowing what the Battery Voltage was/is when you try and Crank the Engine would provide better information and thus a chance at a better answer.
