I just bout a 2006 XL 1200 C Sportster. My question is which exhaust system to buy.
Can anybody recommend please.

Are you wanting a full system or slip on's. SEII are a loud but quite pipe's that give's you the sound of a hd and cycle shacks are the same but a little louder and cheaper and vance and hines and good pipe's also a little more money and they are probably the loudest and if you want some really cool pipe go with a thunder header 2-1 or maybe rineharts but you really need to narrow your choice down to a style and price range.

Have put on a few different sets of slip ons but never could get the sound an torque I wanted so just put on Vance an Hines Straightshots an with baffles out they have great sound but you lose torque so I ordered Big City Thunder Monster Baffles an now have great sound an lots of torque. You can listen to Vance an Hines sound on there web site an they actually sound better than that.

I think the V&H Straight Shots look better on a Sportster than the Long Shots.

renneck, i wanted to 2nd you on the big city thunder baffle. i bought drag pipes and found a big big flat spot, it was bad enough that i changed back to slip ons. then i bought the big city thunders and no more flat spot and what a great sound.
