s/e air cleaner install
Sorry if this has been discussed, \\;im sure it has, but just purchased an s/e \\;high flow air cleaner kit for my 08 nightster and was wondering \\;how hard it would be to install before i get in there and look around is there any tricks or is it pretty straight forward, just pull off and replace? Also i have heard that if i disconnect \\;the battery for 30 sec or so that the efi will readjust, is this true? \\;

Not true, the EFI cant adjust that much, only enough for slipon pipes, you need to do something with the maping BEFORE installing the new AC. Most popular here seems to the the power commander III but there are lots of options.
Also make sure you locktite the AC mounting screws, there have been a few on here that had a mounting screw come loose and get sucked into the engine causing massive damage.

Think you have to remap if you change the air coming in. If you just change slip on mufflers w/out the air filter mod it will pass by the method you described. Lots of input on this subject....try a search. Good luck.

Thanks for the quick response guys going to put v&\\;h shortshots on with fuel pak so that is how i will compensate for the fuel \\;do you think that is enough or do i need the rev limit changed by remap, v&\\;h says no anyone with experience have anything to add
