Thanks guys, some interesting and useful info there.
New to Harleys, and it's fun getting to know them isn't it?
As it seems a minor problem for now, just a quick wipe clears it off where its landing, and definately no puddles on my garage floor, I'll just endeavor to keep it clean.
But, two things. Is it likely to become worse, just a symptom of hard riding, and I am thinking of having a Forcewinder AC fitted will this eradicate this minor prob?
Thanks
If you want to solve this problem, DO NOT GET A FORCEWINDER, I have one, which why I had to run the 'rig". The forcewinder runs the breather hose into the filter element, which causes the oil to collect and come out much worse! I ruined every pair of khakes I own! Plus the forcewinder is robbing me of horse power so says my tech. And it won't get worse as time goes on btw.
heres another question for ya and im not tryin to steal this thread...
this whole oil issue is actually causing me some big problems cause im havin to add oil just with in two or so days of ridin just to and from work and i only work 70miles from home but dont have to go everyday.. also noticed that by the time i get close to work and i stop and then go... my trans starts to squeak, it sounds like a rusty bolt being untightened. is this all this because of the oil im losin.. im runnin amsoil in it.
if you have a puddle under the bike after you park it? then how ofen are you havin to add oil and why cant there be a way to fix it to where you dont lose any oil.
mines been at the stealer 3 times and they cant even fix it and neither can a local shop. WTF
