Default Two Questions

Question one: Is there a centre stand (bolt on fixed type) available for a Sportster? Mine's an 883L (2005)
and Question two: I have just bought one of the Extreme digital battery tender/chargers (works great by the way, so far I've tried it with the battery removed from the bike) this came with a harness so the battery can be charged while still in the bike. Now with all the electrioics on the bike is it OK to charge the battery without disconnecting anything or should the main fuse be removed (while charging)?
Any advise would be appreciated.

I think I recall seeing an aftermarket center stand but ground clearance can be an issue. The bike frame is already pretty low to the ground on an L model.

No, you don't need to disconnect anything to charge the battery while it's in the bike. That's the normal way most of us do it. Just mount that little harness that came with the charger to the battery terminals and your all set.

Many Thanks.
I may try and fabricate a stand or modify an aftermarket stand, I'll let you know how it goes.

My dealer added a battery tender for $50 on my 2007 low without asking me and I told him I'd ask first if I wanted to buy one. I just found out today 1 1/2 years later that they automatically add a pigtail for connecting the charger and if you opt out they remove your seat and remove the pigtail. What a bunch of Dicks! Anybody else know about the pigtails or dealer practices concerning supplying them "automatically" without telling you about it? Is the pigtail a dealer or factory add on?

I haven't seen a center stand on a bike since I was a kid and I bought a Honda trail 50 from a fellow. I thought that stand was neat. As far as a battery tender. How long are you plannning on the bike sitting?
