Default Primary removal

Hi, I have an 2003 883 that I wanna change the starter to a new chrome one that I bought. I took out all the allen screws in the primary cover and drained the oil before that, but not sure what else I need to do to get the cover to come off.
ThanX

Do you have the service manual? It should be in there.

You will also need to back-off (loosen) the primary chain tensioner, remove the shift lever and disconnect the clutch cable.

You are going to need a Service Manual to get it back together correctly. Things like the internal clutch adjustment, and bolt torque specs & sequence on the primary cover.
