110-112 on the 161 Turnpike (George Bush) in Dallas. Feet on pass. pegs. I was able to hold it there for a few miles before I spooked myself thinking of police.

Right, just showing the gear limitations for the stock redline. Somebody with mods may claim to have gone 140mph but that would be impossible with the stock gearing and redline.

115 mph on my 883C. Screamin Eagle Intake, V&H Short Shots, PCIII. I kinda felt like a parchute though. It had more, but I didn't wanna know.

Our beloved Sportsters sure do get little scary at those kind of speeds.

Anybody with an XR1200 care to tell us what a difference some real suspension would make?

What other mods do you have. A stock 883 at 6200 rpm (rev limiter) only gets 110 mph.

Yeah, but it is gearing and redline limited at 110mph. He would need the 7000rpm redline to hit 115+.

With the PCIII tuner I can it 50mph in 2nd gear before hitting the rev limiter. Don't know the rpm because I don't have a tach.
