I am having the same issues right now. Thought that somehow it was my pcv causing the issues... then the clutch adjustment. This makes way more sense. Any new recommendations on a replacement clutch setup?

??? You mean besides the three options already documented in this thread?

Barnett
Energy One
Screaming Eagle
This was an older post and I didn't know if three was some new ground shattering option that is "way more better" than these options from 2 years ago. What I should have asked was: are there any new thoughts on which is the most reliable/cost effective solution out of the three. Pros/cons etc. Thanks for the recap though. From what I have read the Barnett seems like it is the most popular. Also, any thoughts on which one may be best with my configuration: hi flow se intake stage 1, Vance Hines straight shots, and pcv turned for those components. I always look forward to the forum's feedback as it has greatly helped in the past.
Didn't read the whole thread, the easiest option is to buy two metal and one friction plate and drop them in instead of spring plate. That's what I did when my stock clutch started slipping (too much torque from engine). No need to buy entire new clutch.

I guess I will have to make a judgement call when I get her opened up and see the extent of the damage. That makes a whole lot of sense if the rest of the components are in good shape though, and the wife will be happier at the price of the fix. I'll update with pictures when I get in there next week. Thanks for the input!
In my opinion. The Barnett scorpion clutch is the last clutch you will ever need.
I went the extra plate route and ended up blowing up my basket when the pressure plate exploded. It might cost a extra 400. But then again it cost me more to replace the pressure plate clutch hub fibers and steels when the extra plate blew up

What a nonsense.
You say the pressure plate exploded, then again the extra plate blew up. Nothing of kind will happen when the clutch is assembled properly.
Well, sure as S#!/ that spring plate blew its rivets all over the clutch basket. I am still pulling plates out trying to make sure I am inspecting well as I go. Some photo entertainment for y'all:

Spring plate. Missing something? Rivets!
Here they are!
And the shell out smoked the friction disks on either side of the spring plate! The rest were pretty good.
