Drilled triple tree last night

Default Drilled triple tree last night
That thing drilled easy as butter! Thought it was gonna be a pain but before I knew it, the drill bit went right through. I bought a right-angle drill attachment for the drill, ordered some stubby HSS drill bits from drillbitwarehouse.com and drilled from the top. Just have to solder the wires and ill be good to go.

Yeah that's real soft metal, I used a regular cordless drill and a dull bit and went right thru.

Yeah the triple trees are made out of aluminum, easy to drill. BTW solder what wires?

Yep new headlight. Im going to solder the wires together with the new light cause when I took the old headlight out, I just cut the wires instead of trying to pry the bulb connector out of the old housing. I might post pics when im done.

iron71tike BTW-hows your titanium exhaust wrap holding up? Im going to wrap mine with the same stuff once payday rolls around.

My entire frontend (including the triple trees) is made of chromed steel.

It's still good. It lost some of its luster due to dirt and dust, but the color is still the same.

I wish mine were too, the aluminum upper & lower triple trees are hard to polish up nice compared to chrome.
