I just did mine and only loosened the front pipe enough to get to the bolts, it was really easy putting everything back....not the 800lb gorilla that put the Torx bolts in is another story, use some PB Blaster and a good Torx socket and you'll be good to go.

Those bolts are secure! Make sure you either have your bike STRAPPED to a lift or someone is there to hold it for you. Those bolts are TORQUED! When I started on mine, I almost laid it down trying to get those bolts out. Had to get the ol' lady out there just to balance the bike for me even though it was on the kickstand. Just be careful, and use more common sense then I did on the first side! Once you get them on, it is a great ride.
